Baking Mix Recipes

Here you will find baking mix recipes made with the Jiffy Baking Mix. All are very easy baking recipies from dumplings for stew to muffins, waffles and to make up a baking powder biscuit recipe.

It is a very good idea to have this baking mix as a readily available staple in your pantry for the following quick to make recipes.

These baking recipes are much more economical to make than buying ready-made mixes.

Biscuits

• 12 biscuits - bake @400F - 10 minutes
• 3 cups mix - 3/4 cup water
• 1 cup grated cheese (optional)

• blend mix and water with fork
• knead 10 strokes, flatten, cut into rounds with rim of a glass dipped in flour to make 12 biscuits
• Place on cookie sheet and bake

Coffee Cake

• 8x8 or 9x9 pan - bake @400F - 20-25 minutes
• 3 cups mix - 1/2 cup sugar - 1 egg - 2/3 cup water

• Blend all ingredients and top with the following:

• Topping:
• 1/2 cup brown sugar - 1 tsp. cinnamon - 1/2 cup walnuts - 3 tbsp. melted butter, mixed together well

• Apple Coffee Cake - add 2 grated apples to mix

Dumplings

• 3 cups mix - 3/4 cup water

• Stir together with fork, spoon onto hot stew, cover and simmer about 10-15 minutes
