Easy Swedish Meatballs
This homemade meatball recipe for easy Swedish meatballs can also be used as meatball appetizers as they are delicious and always a great hit at any gathering.
It is a quick recipe for Swedish meatballs which are baked in the oven, then can be served either covered with sauce or a dipping sauce on the side.
Try them with great results.
Ingredients:- 1/2 lb. beef hamburger, lean
- 1/2 lb. ground pork
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup milk or light cream
- 1 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/8 tsp. ground allspice
- 1/8 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
Method:- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl.
- Mix lightly with a fork.
- Shape into 1" balls.
- Put on cookie sheet.
- Bake in a 350F oven for 30 minutes, turning after 15 minutes.
- Drain off fat.
- Ready to use with or without sauce.
