Glazed Pork Loin



Glazed pork loin is another good way of totally changing the taste of your pork loin dinner, and leftovers are oh so good for great tasting pork roast sandwiches.

A sweet glaze on your pork roast is especially good served with steamed rice, sauteed carrots and a green salad, for a great tasting meal.

All of these glazes are also great on baked ham, and could be decorated with pineapple slices and red maraschino cherries, for instance, for a very festive look.

So here are 5 different glazes for pork or ham for you to try.





Glazed Pork Loin or Ham

  • Orange Curry Glaze
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade
  • 2 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. curry powder
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

  • Mix all ingredients and baste roast or ham every 10 minutes during the last 30 minutes of cooking time.

  • Orange Clove Glaze
  • 1/4 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/4 cup prepared mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves

  • Mix and spread on meat for last 1/2 hour of cooking time.

  • Brown Sugar Glaze
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard powder
  • 2-3 tbsp. apple juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper

  • Mix and spread on roast or ham for last 30 minutes of cooking time.

  • Peach Glaze
  • 1 cup peach jam
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. brown sugar

  • Mix and spread on roasting meat for last 1/2 hour of cooking time.

  • Smokey Glaze
  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. dry mustard powder
  • 1 tsp. hickory smoked salt

  • In a small saucepan, mix ingredients and bring to boil. Simmer for 2 minutes. Brush roast with glaze every 10 minutes during last 30 minutes of cooking time.
