How to make Meatballs? Making meatballs is very easy to do. All you need is a melon scoop and your favorite homemade meatball recipe to make 1" uniformly sized meatballs.

If your best meatball recipe calls for larger sized balls then you can also use an ice cream scoop to make nice evenly sized balls.

Here is how to go about it.



Method:

  • Mix up your favorite meatball recipe.
  • Let stand for 15 minutes for flavors to combine.
  • Determine what size of balls you want to make.
  • For 1" meatballs, use the larger end of a melon scoop plus a teaspoon.
  • Have a small bowl of cold water handy, plus a baking sheet.
  • Dip both the scoop and teaspoon in cold water.
  • Using the wet teaspoon, fill the wet scoop with your hamburger mixture, making it nice and round.
  • Then slide the meat mixture from the scoop with the wet spoon onto a baking sheet.
  • Keep dipping both scoop and teaspoon into the water, that way the meat mixture will not stick.
  • When all meatballs are made proceed with your recipe.

    Note: The meatballs can also be frozen for later use.
