Meat Marinade Recipe
This meat marinade recipe is for cooking a pot roast with a slightly tangy, spicy, sweet and sour flavor.
A beef round sirloin tip roast would be a good choice of meat for this beef marinade recipe.
Or cooking eye of round roast which has been marinated this way and then serving it with potato dumplings also makes for a very special meal.
- 1 cup vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 5 pepper corns
- 3 whole allspice
- 1 whole clove
- 1/2 bay leaf
- Bring marinade to boil, then let cool.
- Pour over meat and onion in a crockery or glazed bowl (don't use plastic).
- Cover and refrigerate for 3-4 days, turning meat over daily.
